We are a second generation family business based in Montreal and in the textile bedding industry since 1971. Laika Design was founded in 2008 in order to offer home décor dog beds and fashion beds that will fit your style in furniture and home décor. About our home décor dog beds
Height of the dog bed
5 inches high: A high dog bed is good for older dogs and/or dog with arthritis. It prevents your dog from getting cold air draft on the floor level. And it's easier for the dog to get up.
Polyester mattress vs foam mattress
A 100% Polyester dog bed mattress does not emit toxic fumes, it will not discolor and will not dry up as a foam mattress. Also, as opposed to foam, a polyester mattress can be washed.
Antimicrobial dog beds
The polyester mattress is treated with Ultra-Fresh. This treatment gives an antimicrobial protection and resists to the growth of odor causing bacteria.
Orthopedic Mattresses
The firmness of our orthopedic dog bed mattress gives the support that the dog needs. In the market, the fluffy dog bed appears comfortable, but once the weight of the dog is on it, the 5 (and more) inches high becomes a half inch thick bed, because they use a lot less of polyester and use a polyester fibber that takes a lot of space when there is no weight pressure on it. Our orthopedic dog beds have 2000 grams of polyester per square meter that will support the weight of your dog.
Fabric
Dog bed cover: 100% cotton. The back is made of polycotton.
Washing instructions
» The Dog bed cover can be taken off (just open the zipper) to be washed. The Antimicrobial orthopedic polyester mattress can be rinsed in the bath tub or in the shower.
» To avoid shrinkage and faded colours, use cold water only and drip dry only (do not tumble dry)
